Dear CREW Atlanta Members,
It is amazing to look back to the beginning of this year and see how far we have come. We are emerging from our virtual existence, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces at our December meeting. I know I was especially grateful that we were able to celebrate our award recipients, our incoming CREW Leadership class, our incoming 2022 board of directors and committee chairs and to thank all our fantastic sponsors in person. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and resilience of our 2021 committees and board members for whom I am so thankful.
CREW Atlanta is a volunteer organization that is only able to do the great work that we do in advancing women in the commercial real estate industry because of our members. There are four members in particular who we honored this month: Karmen Blackwell, our 2021 Shining Light award winner; Monica Miller, our Rising Star Award winner; Meghan Mascarenhas our New Member of the Year; and Jen Reves, our Committee Member of the Year. Their commitment to the CREW Atlanta mission of transforming the global commercial real estate industry to be diverse, inclusive and equitable for all is inspiring.
Our momentum is building as we are looking toward 2022 and our 40th anniversary. We are in the midst of membership renewal season, so if you have not yet renewed your membership, don’t wait any longer. And while you are renewing, consider making your donation to CREW Foundation. We want to make our trifecta before our 40th anniversary celebration in March and we can only accomplish this with help from our members.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as CREW Atlanta President this year. This really has been our year – but the best is yet to come!
All the best,
President CREW Atlanta
