Letter to Membership

Dear CREW Atlanta Members,

We’ve made it through 2020 and landed solidly in 2021. Whatever this year may bring, I know it will be transformative for CREW Atlanta.

I am so thankful for our Past President Jodi Borges-Bradley, the entire 2020 board and the committees for the work they did - formalizing our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, updating our bylaws, reviewing our policies and procedures, and embarking on our next three-year strategic plan for CREW Atlanta. They planted the seeds for our growth in 2021!

I am privileged to be working with the 2021 officers, board and committees. They are already hard at work bringing our mission to life through our strategic plan. This year, CREW Atlanta’s mission of influencing the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of women will be at the forefront of every endeavor. We see a more equitable and diverse commercial real estate industry that starts with our members’ success, and we are charged with facilitating and celebrating that success.

With a more concerted effort to ensure we are providing information that our members need in a format they want, we are launching CREWeekly, a weekly newsletter that will compile the news of the week in an easy-to-read format and will streamline our communications. We will continue to publish our monthly newsletter and the annual CREW in Review. And if you don’t follow us on social media, you definitely should!

There is so much great work being done, and yet there is still a lot of fun to be had. Although many of our events will continue to be virtual in the Spring, we are looking at opportunities for smaller in-person events as it is safe to do so. We have found some valuable interactions in our newer virtual events which many find easier to participate in. Our future calendar will be rich with opportunities for our members to engage in the ways they find most meaningful – large, small, live, virtual, educational, social – we have something for everyone planned.
