• Charlotte Kang had a vision of founding a Georgia Chapter of Women in Lodging (GWIL). Her passion, leadership, and countless hours of hard work have made that vision a reality. GWIL has grown to 185 members since the summer of 2009. The programs serve as inspiration to many women and provide networking opportunities for professional and personal growth. With the pioneering success of the Georgia Chapter, Charlotte was asked to serve as the national liaison in facilitating the formation of other state chapters around the country. To date, there are already 10+ WIL Chapters in various stages of formation and GWIL is viewed as the role model in this development. In recognition of Charlotte's leadership, she was presented the 2010 Volunteer of the Year Award by Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association on March 3, 2011, and 2010 State Leadership Award by American Hotel and Lodging Association on March 15, 2011. Charlotte's leadership in founding the group will serve Women In Lodging and the hospitality community for many years to come.
