The Communications Committee functions as a marketing and communications powerhouse behind CREW-Atlanta and is focused on enhancing the image and credibility of the organization. As one of the largest CREW-Atlanta committees, the Communications Committee positions CREW-Atlanta and its members in a positive and professional manner through a network of communication tools including social media, public relations, website and solicits and creates articles for the CREW Atlanta Blog. The annual CREW In Review publication is created by the committee.
Four subcommittees comprise the Communications Committee:
The National Committee increases members' awareness of thebenefits, goals and activities of CREW Network (Network ofCommercial Real Estate Women), the national umbrella organization.The Committee is chaired by one of the two National Delegates.CREW-Atlanta maintains high visibility in CREW Network byparticipation at annual conventions and regional conferences,submitting articles to the "CREW at a Glance" and CREW Networknewsletters, and promoting its delegates as potential CREW NetworkDirectors. Each year the Committee reviews opportunities to presenta program at the annual convention and solicits nominees for CREWNetwork's Networking and Champions awards. Committee members may beasked to serve (if necessary) on a national committee or specialtask force within CREW Network. It is highly recommended thatcommittee members attend CREW Network Regional Conferences andNational Convention. Other programs rolled out by thiscommittee include e-Mentoring and UCREW which is a universityoutreach to real estate students.
The Leadership Committee is responsible for organizing andorchestrating a Leadership CREW class comprised of approximately25-30 CREW members on a bi yearly basis. Every even year, themission of Leadership CREW is to provide an opportunity for themembers of CREW to examine issues affecting their roles andadvancement in organizations and to shape strategies for theirdevelopment as individuals, professionals and leaders. The programruns for one year and entails class members participating inmonthly half-day or whole day leadership classes featuring dynamicspeakers who focus on all areas of professional and personal growthtopics. The Leadership Committee holds a planning year on theodd years to establish the new Leadership CREW class and thecurrent Leadership CREW class began in January 2016. TheLeadership Committee is also charged with the task of planning andconducting Alumnae Events for graduates of Leadership CREW. These formal and informal alumnae gatherings throughout theyear foster additional networking and leadership. Youmust be a CREW Leadership alumni to participate on thiscommittee.
The Membership Committee's primary focus is the recruitment ofnew members as well as the retention of CREW's existing members. The Committee members seek to build a membership that isdiverse in experience and profession with individuals who willactively participate in the organization. These efforts tocreate value for our members are supported by several initiatives,including: quarterly new member luncheons, which brief new memberson the benefits of CREW and allow them the chance to get to knowsome of the Board and Committee members, membership renewals,coordinating Membership Mixers for recruitment, new member WelcomeLetter and Bulletins, CREWmates, which partner new members withexisting members to enhance their CREW experience, monthly luncheongreeting, nametags, and new member info package distribution tothose interested prospective members attending the CREW luncheons,CREW anniversary and birthday cards, and the planning and executionof two Committee Expos each year to help engage our members. The Membership Committee provides many opportunities to volunteerand/or sponsor as a means to promote your own business, and is anexcellent way to be actively involved in CREW.

The Programs Committee works to develop and deliver monthly programs on educational, timely and informative topics. Current topics, dynamic speakers and the chance to feature women in real estate result in programs that stimulate, inform and inspire both members and guests.
Each year, the programs committee brainstorms topics, speakers and locations for meetings. Specific tasks include developing the program idea, securing and briefing speakers; determining the location and providing information for communication and marketing materials.
Committee members form sub-committees for each individual luncheon program. Sub-committees are responsible for obtaining speakers,gathering speaker(s) contact information and bio, coordinating all logistics and AV requirements and writing the program summary.

The Awards Committee mission is to recognize the accomplishments and achievements of the Atlanta chapter members related to elevation and promotion of women with in the commercial real estate industry and community at large. These objectives are accomplished through publishing monthly member accolades, creating annual chapter awards, developing an annual awards recognition event and the solicitation and management of nominations for local and national CREW and community awards.
The social committee coordinates events for CREW Atlanta that are fun and bring lots of CREW Members and non-CREW Members together for networking. The social events range from black-tie events to business casual events that are held throughout the year. Additionally, the social events are intended to create awareness of CREW and to give back to charitable organizations chosen by CREW. These social events include the Annual Golf Tournament, 2017 Gala event, Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, Dine-Arounds and Habitat for Humanity. So if you would like to work with a group to plan events and to participate in the events, this is the committee for you!
